Session I: Ledership
Objective: “Nothing is permanent, except change”. Define what it takes to lead in a continuous transition (Transformation process, COVID-related repurposing).
Preparatory questions:
1. What has the recent forced experiment in mass telecommuting taught us about ourselves as leaders, our organization, and our manner of working together? What positive lessons can we draw from the experience so that these are not lost when we return to whatever the new “normal” will be?
2. What obstacles did I / we overcome to get there?
3. What hard truths need to be told about the branch, division, and UNEP in delivering?
4. What dimensions of our own behaviour and leadership need to change?

Session II: Operations and Efficiency
Objective
: Defining efficiency in the ‘New Normal’ scenario (post-confinement).
Preparatory questions:
1. Working away from offices and in isolation has also catalyzed innovation and improvements in the way we work.
2. What streamlined ways of working together on administrative processes have we found that should be maintained? How have we learned to function in ways that are more efficient, leaving more time for the substantive parts of our jobs?
3. Similarly, what did we learn about using new technologies to communicate more effectively that we should maintain and build upon? How can we use our new skills to stay more connected and span branches and projects in a more collaborative and robust manner?
4. Have the past few weeks revealed any latent weaknesses in the way we operated, that we didn’t see earlier? If the COVID-19 pandemic is thought of as a stress test, what cracks has it revealed, if any?

2. Who can be our new strategic partners to operationalize, implement and scale-up our normative work?
3. How can we use the coordinating power we have to bring together focal points for different agendas in the countries we target (NDAs, NDEs, SCP national focal points?)
